Marine Fibreglass Repairer, Boat Builder

About the role

The marine workshop requires an experienced fibreglass & paint repairer to repair trailer boats, from minor paint & gelcoat repairs to larger fibreglass damage.

Reporting to the marine service manager the role includes all aspects of the repairs as well as quotation for both retail customer & insurance repairs as well as basic accounting for department activity.

Skills and experience

The role requires a good understanding of all facets of repairs including quotation of time and products required, fibreglass repairs and refinishing in both gelcoat and paint. Supplying relevant info for invoicing, ensuring quality control of outgoing work and managing supply inventory.

 

The successful applicant will have-

  • The ability to work autonomously and as a part of a larger team.
  • A care for the finished product and customer satisfaction.
  • At least 3 years experience with fibreglass, with boat building experience an advantage.

The watercraft body repair department requires an experienced spray painter to repair watercraft working with the fibreglass repairers. Scope of work ranges from minor paint & gelcoat repairs to larger fibreglass damage requiring larger repairs.

Reporting to the service manager the role includes all aspects of the repairs as well as quotation for both retail customer & insurance repairs as well as basic accounting for department activity.
